About

Who am I and why do I have a blog? Well, the resume answer to who I am is simple, filled with buzz words and quite honestly doesn’t really tell you anything. If you’re interested though you can read it below.

Creatively solving complex issues without ever losing sight of the expected business outcomes. Technology leader based on data-driven decisions with strategic innovation. Leader of change by constantly looking for improvement, innovation and greater efficiency. Personable coworker always offering advice and mentoring peers towards better technical practices. Open source contributor to The Foreman project by submitting patches, reporting bugs, testing releases. Active community member via IRC, Google Groups and guest blog postings.

If you got through that and didn’t get your answers (most likely) or just want to find out more about me then you’ll find it here. I’m a systems administrator that focuses on automation and building systems as a service. I guess you can say I fit the DevOps role, though I really don’t like using that as a description. I am an active member in the open source community under the handle “discr33t”. I am employed by a large publicly traded company that is currently trying to make the jump to being a tech company. It has been a challenging process but strides are being made. It is partially my responsibility to implement new ways of doing things and new technologies to help move forward with that jump.

Well, that’s enough about me. If you want more checkout my LinkedIn and GitHub.
